Greetings, everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my website. I’m a devout Christian (just call me joyous for Jesus!), and I love to read (meet the girl who read books in school because she wanted to…not for the pizza…but I still took the pizza). It’s extremely important to instill the love of reading in children early, and what better way to begin this love of reading than by teaching children about the most important person they’ll ever know in their lives-God?

I’m what you would call your typical tomboy-I have always loved sports, cars, getting my hands dirty, rolling around in the dirt, and enjoying this beautiful world that God has blessed us with. I am also a premium, grade-A nerd: I have always loved school, I have always loved to learn as much as I possibly can, and I want to use what I have learned to help the world around me. Sounds a bit cliche, right? Just call me cornier than the cob, and cheesier than macaroni-I am all about that life.

There are so many people who do not know God and have not accepted Jesus Christ into their lives as their personal Lord and Savior. The love of God should always (but of course, does not always) begin in the home, and the younger that we begin teaching our children about God, the better. The Bible can be difficult to read, and if you’re like some of us, we have the attention span of a twig or a melted marshmallow (talk about mush for brains). If the Bible can be broken down into simpler stories, not only can everyone, children and adults like, better understand what we are reading, but we will also have a greater appreciation for God, his love for us, and the great plans that he has for our lives.

I don’t believe that learning about God should be limited to just your typical bedtime stories, either. I love to laugh and have fun, and children should be able to laugh and have fun as they learn about the Creator. I’m talking Christian comic books, Christian trading cards, Christian trivia, the works! As Proverbs 17:22 notes, a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones. As we learn about God before bed, we don’t want any dry bones, dry mouths, dry hearts, or dry spirits! We want God’s living water to overwhelm us, make us smile, answer our most pressing questions, and give us unexplainable peace. Let’s get cracking so that our souls won’t be lacking!

My family started reading Bible stories to me while I was in diapers-I have carried these stories with me into my (now) 20s, and I want to help others to have this same great, life changing experience.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to leave them below, and I will gladly talk to you! I can talk for days. Haha

With love and hugs,

  1. Hello C.N. – what a great site and about me post. I totally agree with you about teaching children to love to read and also about the introduction of our Creator at an early age. Being taught why we celebrate Christmas and Easter are very important to me. I will be reading your other posts. Thank you for your great content.
    Take care, and keep well.

    1. Thank you so much, Nancy! I thank God that my grandparents instilled the love of Jesus Christ in us from a young age. Had I not known God’s power, I would have fallen by the wayside many times. Once you have the love of God in you, he’ll never let you go. Thank you, Jesus! God bless you!

  2. Hi, C.N.,

I wonder what’s your name is… suppose it’s Carlettan 🙂 I must tell you that I’m surprised you are so young… thought you’re at least in your mid 30’s 🙂

Maybe that’s because people who know so many Bible stories are associated in my head as being adult and mature (assuming to have many years lol).

Thank you for this website, it will help me understand the Bible better as I have always found it difficult to interpret it for myself.

Best Wishes and God Bless You!

    1. Thank you so much, Natalie! My first name is Carletta, and N is my middle initial. I’m a 28 year old spring chicken! Haha My grandparents kept me in church, and I definitely think that the excellent training that I received has contributed to me being so in love with Jesus Christ and wanting to spread his truth to this dying world. I will always get excited to talk about God! I want his Word to be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, language, or anything else. I will definitely keep them coming! God bless you!

  3. This is a great website on our creator, and to teach the children well in their early age in helping them know we are more that just Mom/Dad, boy and girls, there is a higher spirit involved. Your humor is outstanding, I love it. Not just children, but adults also need to read these little stories to get a grasp of our creator all three in one person. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thank you so much, Elizabeth! It’s so important that everyone, from the youngest child to the oldest adult, know who and what Jesus Christ is. This world is getting crazier and crazier by the second, and only with God’s help will we make it through. I definitely want everyone, children and adults alike, to understand and enjoy learning about Jesus Christ and the Bible. I just want to do my part! Haha God bless you!

  4. Hi,

great idea with your blog. I am sure you can add value to your readers. I also like your writing style as it makes it easy to follow.

    1. Thank you so much, Fabian! I definitely wanted to create a space where we can all, children and adults alike, understand and enjoy learning about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (and God’s Holy Word). The easier the Bible is to follow, the better! Haha God bless you!
